Event Description

Paddle from boat ramp at Yundah Street Shorncliffe to Woody Point.  On way we can check out the wreck of the HMQS Gayundah before it rusts away.  This ship was originally a gunboat for the Queensland Marine defence force and the Royal Australian Navy.  She entered service in 1884 and was decommissioned in 1921.  She became a sand and gravel barge before being scrapped in the 1950’s.
