Event Description

This is a one day course, that will introduce paddlers to the following:

When: March 18, 2018

Where: Broken Bridge, Derwent River.

Participants should bring:

- Kayak/canoe and all paddling gear – including several changes of paddling clothing, ? wet/dry suit is recommended – it may be cold!
- Throwbag
- Rescue gear that you normally take on paddling trips (don’t worry if you don’t have any)
- First Aid kit - waterproofed
- Lunch
- Paper and pen

For those wanting to achieve the ACAS Whitewater Rescue 1 Award. The following assessment must be completed:
Practical assessment during scenarios presented as part of the course
Knowledge assessed through verbal answers during the course.

Course costs:

$45 for Affiliated Club Members (+$25 if requiring assessment)
$90 non-club members (+$25 if requiring assessment) ?
