Event Description

THE EVENT

The Murray Quad course is an epic 141kms, making it the longest quadrathlon event in the world.

3.2km Inland open water swim.

The swim event will be held on Lake Mulwala around the Yarrawonga Rowing Club, the start will be from the western side of the Rowing club and follow a figure eight buoyed course located alongside the chinaman’s island and the Silverwoods resort shore line with a change over for relay teams at the rowing club which is also the swim finish line and transition area.

21.1km Running of the Black Bull Half Marathon.

The run will start and finish at the Yarrawonga rowing club and utilize some of the best walking tracks along the Lake Mulwala foreshore en route runners will run through Chinaman’s Island nature reserves and the Silverwoods Golf Course and Lifestyle Resort. The race will be a two lap with a changeover located at the transition area for relay teams and this will also allow support crew food drops if necessary for the individuals if necessary.

25km Peaches and Cream paddle.

The paddle leg is a 25km downstream canoe marathon race that will begin with a run from the bike transition area to the water edge to wear competitor will entry their kayak to begin the paddle on Australia’s longest river the Murray River. Once on the water paddlers will need to be self-sufficient with food and water as required, with the opportunity to replenish at the checkpoint / relay change over at Smithers Beach. From here paddlers will twist and turn through the Murray River Red Gum Forest passing some of Australia’s best inland beaches to arrive at Tocumwal Town Beach completing a total of 141km (88miles) of Physical endurance.
